Lorrie Morgan
Lorrie Morgan was born Loretta Lynn Morgan on June 27, 1959, the daughter of Grand Ole Opry star George Morgan and she made her professional debut at age 13 on the Opry. She was invited to become a member in 1984, long before she released her platinum-selling debut album "Leave the Light On" in 1989. Her next two albums, "Something in Red" and "Watch Me" were also certified platinum and sent her on a dizzying speed to stardom. Lorrie Morgan quickly became one of country music’s most popular and successful female artists charting over a dozen top ten hits including "Five Minutes", "What Part of No" and "I didn’t Know My Own Strength" which all landed at #1. She also issued her greatest hits album in 1995. Recognized as a creative force in music videos, Lorrie Morgan charted eight #1 videos at CMT. Praise from her peers and fans followed as she earned nine industry awards including four wins as Female Vocalist of the Year in 1994, 1996, 1997 and 1998. Her eleventh and last album until now was released in 2001 featuring a duet with husband Sammy Kershaw. Lorrie Morgan has sold over ten million records. This Spring, she will be releasing her twelfth album, "And Show Me How" and is going back on tour. Her new album is sure to fit snugly at the top of country music’s charts.
