The 2005 Tillamook County Fair will be held August 10-13, 2005

The Tillamook County Fair Board has chosen “Picture The Fun” as the theme for next year’s fair which will be held August 10-13, 2005. Many images come to the mind of fair goers when they think about their experiences at the Tillamook County Fair. There are so many and varied forms of fun that depict the Tillamook County Fair. The Fair Board will try it’s best to provide the opportunity for fair goers to create new pictures, ideas and images of the fair as well as treasure their established ones.

“Picture the Fun” that Tillamook County residents will have from now until next year’s fair. This is the time they get creative planning exhibits to enter in Open Class or 4-H/FFA. A lot of work goes on the next few months to try out recipes, trim and winterize flowers or get a good start on that quilt. This is also the time to work on getting up enough nerve to display their talents and skills in the fair’s Talent Show.

“Picture The Fun” at the 2005 Tillamook County Fair as you see the big smile on the fair goers’ faces upon entry to the fair. That’s when they realize they are able to enjoy everything the fair has to offer for free, except for food and carnival rides. Consider the photo opportunities during the grandstand shows featuring national talent and the smashing and crashing Demolition Derby, seeing demonstrations by Brad’s World Reptiles with big slithering snakes, being brought under a hypnotic spell in front of your friends or experiencing the excitement and squeals of the Pig-N-Ford Races. Opportunities don’t end there as there is also a wide variety of daily courtyard entertainment to enjoy, Washboard Willy will be returning with his popular walk-around act or you can roam amongst the most dairy cows present at any county fair in the state.

“Picture The Fun” as fair goers experience something new and exciting during the fair and capture that moment to be remembered forever. That memory could be a thrilling carnival ride, betting on their first horse race, attending the Huckleberry Health Fair, winning a 4-H/FFA or Open Class ribbon for that exhibit, getting that special deal from one of the more than one hundred commercial exhibitors or tasting for the first time fair food favorites such as a piping hot Pronto Pup, cotton candy or an order of swirly fries.
